Meet the world’s tallest married couple!
A Chinese husband and wife have been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest married couple.
Sun Mingming and his wife Xu Yan have been awarded the title as their combined height is over 4.2 metres. Sun measures 236.17 cm, while his wife stands at 187.3 cm.
The towering twosome met at the National Games of China in 2009, as they are both athletes and got married four years after their first date.
Sun plays basketball professionally, while Xu is a great handball player. It’s no wonder they are sports stars in China.
Of their height, Sun and Xu say: “Everyday tasks such as traveling by car, plane or getting a room in a hotel do prove difficult, but we’re used to these problems.
An advice for a successful marriage – no one is perfect, therefore you need to support one another on a daily basis.”
The tallest married couple ever recorded in history was Anna Haining Swan and Martin van Buren Bates, whose combined height was 477.52 cm!

Ponte City is a skyscraper in the Hillbrow neighbourhood of Johannesburg, South Africa. It was built in 1975 to a height of 173 m (567.6 ft), making it the tallest residential skyscraper in Africa. The 54-story building is cylindrical, with an open center allowing additional light into the apartments. The center space is known as “the core” and rises above an uneven rock floor. When built, Ponte City was seen as an extremely desirable address due to its views over all of Johannesburg and its surroundings.

The Marble Towers is a skyscraper in the Central Business District of Johannesburg, South Africa. It was built in 1973 and is 32 storeys tall. The building has an eight-storey parking garage attached to it. It has the biggest electronic sign in the Southern Hemisphere, measuring 44 metres by 32 metres by 12 metres. It is made out of a mixture of concrete and marble. Its main use is for commercial offices. The building was originally known as ‘Sanlam Centre’.

The building is part of The Pearls Complex, a collection of the tallest buildings in the city of Durban. Upon completion, Pearl Sky will stand at 183m in height, with 44 floors. Not only one of the tallest buildings in Africa but also beautiful to look at.

The Tallest building in Pretoria, stands at 150 m (490 ft). The open Square in front of the building is decorated with fountains and terraces.

88 on Field is a skyscraper in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is built in 1985, has 25 floors and is 147 meters (482 feet) tall.
10. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo, Egypt
The building has six basement floors at 3,600m² per floor. Floors 7-36 each contain 1,700m² of office accommodation, while penthouse floors 37-40 contain 1,000m² per floor. Floors 41 and 42 are service levels. The building cost 127 million Egyptian Pounds.
